Easy way to replace bulbs in high chandeliers.?
I need a folding 12 foot ladder to replace bulbs in the foyer chandelier. Have to borrow ladder from others. Have no other use for it. Are there lowering devices or something to make this chore easier?
Obviously, the long pole ideas won't work for a chandelier. My husband is an electrician and you can install a lowering system for it that will lower it down and allow you to change the lamps. Unless they've come up with some new invention, it will take more than 30 minutes to install because not only do you have to lengthen the electrical wireing in the ceiling, they will need to wire the switch that activiates the system. It can be done, and you might be able to find the equipment at the home improvement store, but you will probably want a licensed electrician to install it. A manual system might also be used, but you'll still have to have additional wiring installed.
I like tall ceilings, but that's just one reason I don't have them.
