Ice Castles

Illuminated by the moonlight
her countenance shines on the frozen lake....
Giving her a mirrored effect
and a barely visible beauty... like a neon castle
traced in the Artic skies
Polar bears roam freely across her bridge
pausing to scratch at the fish in her icy moat
As seals trumpet the arrival of a walrus king...
with tusks polished to match the lunar ambiance
of the evening's festivities
Tuxedo-ed penguins fill the ballroom
under crystalline chandeliers bowing and curtsying
like lords and ladies of the far north...
As far as the eye can wander along the horizon
there are ice castles under a silver moon
This castle holds much charm - but when needing warming up - remember to visit its neighbor. That place with a warm fireplace - hot eggnogs - a noisy workshop and tons of reindeer ♥
